Q: How much does graphic design work cost?

A: We charge $60 per hour for graphic design work, with a $15 minimum.

Q: Why do you charge by the hour for graphic design work?

A: Our graphic designers, Natalie and Danielle, are professionally trained, with extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, which is their primary design tool. They will use their experience and skills to either custom design a project for you or to set up a job (like business cards or flyers) so it will look its best when it is printed.

Q: Why do you charge a set-up fee?

A: We often receive documents that will not print well because they are not set up correctly or not set up to print efficiently.

For example, business cards will need to be set up to print 10 per page, and the spacing on the page needs to be correct. Otherwise, they will not all be even when they are cut. Another example if tri-fold flyers. These need to be set up so that the fold lines will fall correctly.

In other cases, the colors may need to be edited so that we get the correct color when your file is printed.

Our designers are experienced in setting up your files for the best possible output. So you are paying for their experience, knowledge, and actual time spent to set up the design.

Q: Do you charge more if I need revisions made to the design?

A: In most instances, we do not charge for revisions or corrections, within reason. If a major overhaul needs to be made to the underlying design, we may need to charge for a new design.

Q: Who owns the custom design you create for me?

A: You do! Although we retain the file for future reordering, you own the copyright to and content of the digital design. We do like to display designs we have done in our shop or use them for promotional purposes. Just let us know if you prefer that we do not display/reproduce your design.

Q: Do I have to pay a design fee for reorders?

A: Usually there is no design or set up fee when you place a reorder for the same product. We will only need to charge a fee if you have revisions or changes to the original design.
